The gateway device or a server communicably coupled to the gateway device can include an intelligence agent that can prioritize bandwidth, network services, user equipment devices based on a variety of contexts. The intelligence agent can also dynamically increase or decrease the bandwidth available to the gateway device in some embodiments. In an embodiment, the software defined networking system can also instantiate virtual network functions on either the local gateway device or the cloud server in order to provide functionality for one or more network services used by the user equipment device on site.
