A new cloud-computing edge device can be connected to a cluster of cloud-computing edge devices. The new cloud-computing edge device can use the fleet encryption key to generate encrypted message data including a new public encryption key and send the encrypted message data to the cluster. If the encrypted message data is successfully decrypted by the cluster of cloud-computing edge devices, the new cloud-computing edge device can send a request for a session token to the cluster of cloud-computing edge devices.
