  • Patent number: 12378274
Abstract: Various embodiments relate to a method for producing a metal-organic framework (MOF) having a desired redox conductivity and including redox-active linkers, having ?-alkyl-ferrocene groups, via de novo solvothermal synthesis. Various embodiments relate to a metal-organic framework (MOF) linker comprising an ?-alkyl-ferrocene group. Various embodiments relate to a metal-organic framework (MOF), having a first plurality of redox-active linkers, each having an ?-alkyl-ferrocene group. The MOF according to various embodiments, may further have one or more redox-inactive linkers. Various embodiments relate to materials, apparatuses, and components that include the MOF according to various embodiments. For example, various embodiments relate to thin-films, bulk powders, or electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20250205680
Abstract: Functionalized and crosslinked material, which may optionally be employed as a sorbent, as well as methods of making such materials and systems of using such materials are provided. The processes, methods, systems and materials herein can be used for the separation of carbon dioxide from fluid streams. In one aspect, a method of forming functionalized crosslinked particles comprises introducing at least a portion of a surface of each porous particle in at least a subset of a plurality of porous particles to a crosslinking agent and a first reagent comprising at least one adsorbing moiety. Examples of adsorbing moiety include silane-functionalized amines, amino-functionalized silanes (aminosilane), and polyamines. In some aspects the method further comprises introducing the porous particles to a second reagent comprising at least one interaction moiety such as a silane-functionalized amine, amino-functionalized silane (aminosilane), or polyamine.
