    Abstract: A rigid circular quilting hoop has an inside diameter surface and an outside diameter surface. A circumferential groove is formed in the outside diameter surface. A unitary, non-metallic, stretchable fastener having two ends is received within the circumferential groove to secure a piece of quilting material stretched over the hoop. A cord lock secures the ends of the fastener after it has been stretched to maintain a desired tension on the fastener to clamp the quilting material against the hoop.
