  • Publication number: 20180150714
Abstract: A method and a device for extracting local features of a 3D point cloud are disclosed. Angle information and the concavo-convex information about a feature point to be extracted and a point of an adjacent body element are calculated based on a local reference system corresponding to the points of each body element. The feature relation between the two points can be calculated accurately. The property of invariance in translation and rotation is possessed. Since concavo-convex information about a local point cloud is contained during extraction, the inaccurate extraction caused by ignoring concavo-convex ambiguity in previous 3D local feature description is resolved.

  • Publication number: 20180105795
Abstract: An extracellular matrix-modified decellularized nerve scaffold and use thereof are provided. The extracellular matrix-modified decellularized nerve scaffold is prepared from a natural porcine optic nerve. The scaffold has a plurality of longitudinal channels and a plurality of transversal foramina intercommunicated with the longitudinal channels, which have relatively uniform diameters and relatively even distributions in the scaffold. The extracellular matrix-modified decellularized optic nerve scaffold of the present invention changes the poor microenvironment of existing decellularized material that lacks cell growth factors and nutrients, supports seeded cells to form neural networks in vitro or in vivo, and enables the connection of ascending nerve fibers or descending nerve fibers of the injured spinal cord to their target cells after transplantation.

  • Publication number: 20180067615
Abstract: A method and apparatus for inputting data for an electronic data entry device are provided. In one embodiment, identification of an input object such as the particular fingers of a user that are used to actuate a key region is performed. The symbol associated with the actuated key region and the finger (or other input object) used is determined. In other embodiments, virtual input devices with interfaces such as QWERTY style keyboards, phone keypads, and multi-touch capable touchpads or tablets are provided in input regions. One or more video capturing devices remotely acquire actuation information from the input regions during data entry. User inputted symbols or functions are determined based on the actuations, their locations and identified input object sets that caused the actuations.

  • Publication number: 20080206339
Abstract: The invention relates to methods for preparing superporous hydrogels (SPH) that are very-pure and have desirable swelling properties necessary for commercial use, such as in food and pharmaceutical applications. Such methods include simultaneous use of low and high glass transition monomers to improve impurity and swelling profiles of the SPH, use of an integration means to prepare a very homogenous superporous hydrogel foam, washing the superporous hydrogel in a washing solution comprising different ratios of solvent to non-solvent (e.g., water/alcohol), use of a chemically-induced expansion/contraction process to enhance the efficiency of the multiple washing process and to fully structuralize the SPH, and employing one or more separation techniques, such as rubbing, filtration, centrifugation, compression and cutting to increase the efficiency of the purification process and to enhance the SPH swelling properties.
