  • Patent number: 7110847
Abstract: A method to adjust weaving parameters of weaving machines when changing the weaving rate based on optimized weaving-parameter values, one or more altering functions being used to determine and adjust weaving-parameter values which match the changed weaving rate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 14, 2001
Date of Patent: September 19, 2006
    Assignee: Picanol N.V.
    Inventor: Geert Ostyn
  • Patent number: 6994122
Abstract: A heald frame for a weaving machine includes stops (15, 16) made of a material with shock-absorbing properties associated with the ends of the healds (10). A gap is provided between the heald ends and the stops, such gap ensuring that the healds can be moved along guide rails forming part of the heald frame while reducing noise and potentially damaging vibrations. The healds are held on the guide rails with play and are moved by and limited in their movements in a longitudinal direction by the stops.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 11, 2004
Date of Patent: February 7, 2006
    Assignee: Picanol N.V.
Inventors: Marnick Cardoen, Geert Ostyn, Bart Beernaert
  • Patent number: 6953067
Abstract: In order to deflect a warp thread sheet (2) in a weaving machine, a deflecting device (18)is provided which is guided in guides (26) that also guide heald frames (13, 14, 15, 16). The deflecting device positions a segment (46) of the warp thread sheet (2) that starts at a beatup line (7) of the fabric (8) between the beatup line and the heald frames.

  • Patent number: 6789580
Abstract: A heald frame for a weaving machine includes a stop (15, 16) made of a material with shock-absorbing properties associated with at least one end of the healds (10). A gap is provided between the hold ends and the stop, such gap ensuring that the healds can be moved along guiding and drive rails forming part of the heald frame while reducing noise and potentially damaging vibrations.

  • Publication number: 20030019534
Abstract: In order to deflect a warp spread sheet (2) in a weaving machine, a means (18) is provided in which is guided in guide means (26) that also guide heald frames (13, 14, 15, 16). The means for deflecting positions a segment (46) of the warp thread sheet (2) that starts at the beatup line (7) of the fabric (8).

  • Patent number: 5273230
Abstract: A device for attaching a shaft in a frame includes at least two supports for carrying the ends of the shaft, a support lock which keeps the shaft on its support while permitting the shaft to turn locally, and a hinged locking mechanism for closing and opening the lock. The lock is opened and closed automatically by the hinged locking mechanism, which causes the lock to open against a biasing force in response to insertion of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 5224518
Abstract: A device for attaching an element in a frame includes a seating, a supply path via which the element to be attached is brought to the seating, and a pivotable member. In a first position of the pivotable member, a first end thereof is situated in the supply path. In a second position, the first end is situated outside the supply path and a second end of the pivotable member to move the pivotable member between its first and second positions. The first position of the pivotable element is an overcenter position in which the relative positions of the pivotable member's pivot point, the seated element, and the point of contact between the seated element and the first end of the pivotable member are arranged to retain the seated element in place within the seating. In the second position of the pivotable member, the transport device moves the element via the supply path into and out of position in the seating.

  • Patent number: 5146954
Abstract: A method and a device for replacing a cloth beam in a weaving machine utilize the steps of removing a cloth beam from a winding device, pressing an empty cloth beam against a fabric and against a guide piece such that the fabric is turned over the guide piece, subsequently releasing the fabric, and driving the empty cloth beam such that the fabric is wound thereon, and finally mounting the empty cloth beam in the winding device.
