  • Publication number: 20240150497
Abstract: Disclosed herein are detergent compositions that comprise at least one (i) glucan derivative and/or (ii) oxidized polysaccharide derivative. A glucan derivative of (i) can be substituted with at least one organic group that comprises a carboxylic acid group or a sulfonate group, and the degree of substitution (DoS) of the glucan derivative with the organic group can be about 0.1 to about 3.0. An oxidized polysaccharide derivative of (ii) can be produced by contacting a polysaccharide derivative under aqueous conditions with at least one agent that is capable of oxidizing the polysaccharide derivative. The polysaccharide derivative for oxidation has a degree of substitution (DoS) up to about 3.0 with at least one organic group. Further disclosed are various applications and products employing detergent compositions.

  • Publication number: 20230235097
Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions comprising at least one alpha-glucan graft copolymer derivative compound (e.g., ether or ester) having a degree of substitution (DoS) up to about 3.0. The precursors of these derivative compounds are graft copolymers that comprise a dextran backbone and alpha-glucan side chains. At least about 30% of the glycosidic linkages of the alpha-glucan side chains are alpha-1,3 glycosidic linkages. Further disclosed are methods of producing graft copolymer derivatives, as well as their use in various applications and products.

  • Publication number: 20180251808
Abstract: Methods are provided for detection of souring or the likelihood of souring in an oil and gas process fluid which involves analysis of an aqueous sample obtained from an oil and gas process fluid for the presence of bacteria of at least two different bacterial genera, wherein the genera are selected from Pelobacter, Flexistipes, Marinobacterium, Geoalkalibacter, and Halanaerobium. The presence of bacteria from two or more said genera indicates the likelihood of increased sulfide production in the fluid. Other related methods and reagent compositions for performing the methods are provided.
