  • Patent number: 11928699
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for auto-discovery of reasoning knowledge graphs in supply chains are provided herein. A computer-implemented method includes obtaining a spatiotemporal query related to a demand of at least one product in a supply chain; analyzing the spatiotemporal query to identify one or more parameters affecting the demand of the at least one product, wherein the one or more parameters comprise at least one of one or more climate parameters and one or more disruptive event parameters; generating a knowledge graph comprising information indicating an impact on the demand of the at least one product for at least a portion of the one or more parameters; and outputting, to a user interface, an explanation of a predicted demand forecast for the at least one product based at least in part on the knowledge graph.

  • Patent number: 10922360
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a method, computer system, and computer program product for ancillary speech generation is provided. The present invention may include receiving a query from a querent; interpreting the terms of the query using schema information; rewriting the initial query into a set of related queries; pruning related queries that are irrelevant based on contemporary circumstances; retrieving preferences associated with the querent, where each of the preferences is assigned a weight representing the importance of that preference to the querent; filtering out the pruned related queries that do not comport with the querent's preferences; sort the filtered related queries according to the weight of the preferences served by each query; answering the filtered related queries with a knowledge graph; returning answers to the querent; and updating the preferences based on the answers.

  • Patent number: 10334025
Abstract: Techniques for adaptive query targeting in a dynamic distributed computing environment are provided. In one aspect, a method for adaptive query targeting in a distributed computing system having two or more cooperating nodes is provided. The method includes the steps of: using a peer selection criteria to select one or more of the nodes as target peers for a query from a querying node; leasing the query to the target peers for a given length of time via a lease having a given lifetime; periodically refreshing the query during the lifetime of the lease by re-evaluating the peer selection criteria such that the query persists on one or more of the target peers for the lifetime of the lease; and having the query removed from the target peers when the lease expires.
