    Abstract: The present invention relates to a printer for printing digital colour photographs. The printer includes a printhead cartridge housing an ink ejection printhead and an ink supply configured to supply ink to the printhead. A cradle unit defines a support bay in which the printhead cartridge can be fitted in a removable manner. The cradle unit houses a media transport mechanism which transports print media past the printhead. A media supply cartridge is configured to supply the media to the transport mechanism.
