  • Patent number: 9649072
Abstract: A device and method for measurement of spinal mobility are provided for measuring spinal mobility. The apparatus is a hand-held device that includes a gripping portion connected to a force transmitter, a reference member, displacement sensor, and load cell. A force applied downwardly on the gripping portion is transmitted to the force transmitter which is placed on a vertebra of the spine of a subject. The reference member rests on an adjacent vertebra. The displacement sensor determines displacement of the force transmitter relative to the reference member, as a function of the applied force measure by the load cell.

  • Publication number: 20040043355
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for tooth treatment, wherein a base is mounted in a mouth of a patient and a tooth treatment tool is connected to the base such that the connection allows for supported movement of the tool in relation to the tooth. The base has an extending support member onto which a pantograph is adjustably engaged, the pantograph holds a dental tool and guiding means for guiding the movement of the tool to within a predetermined cavity of varying shape, for insertion of prefabricated fillings, and alleviates the dentist from much of the physical stress experienced in common dental work.
