  • Patent number: 11413572
Abstract: A method with corresponding systems for reducing emission of amines to the atmosphere. The method includes a a) introducing a gas containing CO2 into an absorber; b) flowing the flue gas through an absorber having an absorbent with a water-lean solution having less than 50% water and one or more amines, with the absorbent capturing the CO2 and forming a reduced CO2 content gas having a baseline CO2 content; and c) washing the reduced CO2 content gas in a wash column with a wash solution comprising carbonic acid formed by addition of gaseous CO2 into the wash solution. In this method, the washing removes the amines from the reduced CO2 content gas and produces a reduced amine content gas exiting from the wash column.

  • Patent number: 8792295
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring a transducer array in an ultrasound probe are provided. One method includes acquiring ultrasound data using an ultrasound probe during an imaging mode of operation, wherein the ultrasound data includes echo information. The method further includes comparing the echo information from a plurality of transducer elements of a transducer array of the ultrasound probe during the imaging mode of operation, wherein the echo information is non-beamformed signal data. The method also includes determining non-uniformity information for the transducer array using the compared echo information during the imaging mode of operation.

  • Publication number: 20050221633
Abstract: A high-density connection of multiple circuit boards having overlapping ends arranged in a stack. The metal traces on the stacked circuit boards are electrically connected by contact of the ends of the traces, which ends may be pads. The stacked circuit boards can be clamped, soldered or bonded together. Multiple circuit boards may be connected to a single circuit board. In one embodiment, double-sided circuit boards are stacked so that a first circuit board connects to a second circuit board through a third circuit board disposed intermediate the first and second circuit boards. The circuit boards may be flexible or rigid.

  • Publication number: 20050113698
Abstract: Transceiver circuitry for ultrasound transducer elements includes a transmit section and a receive section. The transmit section includes a transmit section input, a transmit section output, and receive signal blocking circuitry connected between the transmit section input and the transmit section output. The receive section includes a receive section input, a receive section output, and transmit signal blocking circuitry connected between the receive section input and the receive section output.

  • Publication number: 20050113694
Abstract: An ultrasound beamforming probe includes an array of transducer elements and a processing board that carries a signal processor. Receive signal connections, for a receive aperture formed from multiple transducer elements, are coupled to the first signal processor. A location memory is connected to the signal processor and holds a spatial location for the receive aperture. The signal processor retrieves the spatial location, determines a beamforming phase shift derived from the spatial location for each transducer element in the receive aperture, and applies the respective phase shift to each receive signal.
