  • Publication number: 20110315398
Abstract: A plug device and a method of using same is described for use when temporarily sealing a fluid bore in a pipe. The plug device includes a plug body disposed in a sealing manner in the fluid bore, wherein the plug device, in order to disintegrate the plug body, further comprises a piston arrangement structured in a manner allowing it to provide a pressure increase in an activation fluid having been introduced to the plug body via at least one channel.

  • Publication number: 20100089128
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus (1) for leakage testing and/or pressure testing a portion of a pipe (7), the apparatus (1) including at least two spaced-apart packer elements (3, 5) which are arranged to define a volume (10) of fluid in an annulus between said at least two packer elements (3, 5) and the internal jacket surface of the pipe (7), and the apparatus (1) being provided with a means for providing a differential pressure between the fluid volume (10) and a fluid located immediately upstream and downstream of the apparatus (1), and with a means for sensing the pressure of the fluid volume (10). The invention also relates to a method of using the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7363989
Abstract: A pulling tool for use in the placing of equipment and acquisition of data from pipes and boreholes used in the production of oil and gas. For this purpose the tool is constructed round a central, elongate, cylindrical main element (1) to which there are arranged radially movable links (2), (4) and (5) with chains (3) arranged thereto, running in grooves (11). Radial movement of the links is provided by subjecting a terminal element (9) for the links (5) to an axial movement by means of an actuator (24). The chains (3) are rotated by an electric motor (8) transferring, through the axle (9) connected to the bevel gears (18) and (17), propulsive force to the chain wheel (15) on which the chains (3) are running.

  • Patent number: 7036598
Abstract: The invention relates to an intervention module (18) for well intervention operations in preferably a pressurized subsea well (2) with a wellhead (4) disposed on a water floor. The intervention module (18) is provided with necessary equipment to replace, under water, intervention tools (54) and thereby perform several well intervention operations in one run, without the supply of equipment from a surface vessel. The module (18) is lowered from a surface vessel and placed on the wellhead (4), possibly a BOP (12), of the well (2). The intervention module (18) is connected to the surface vessel through a connecting line/hose or a wireless connection which communicates, as a minimum, necessary control and feed-back signals. The module (18) is provided with i.e.
