    Abstract: A battery comprises a case and a plurality of battery cells. The case has an avoidance portion configured for avoiding a longitudinal beam of a vehicle, wherein the avoidance portion runs through the case in a first direction (x), and the opening of the avoidance portion face a second direction (z). At least some of the plurality of battery cells are disposed inside the case, and with regard to the projections of the plurality of battery cells in a third direction (y), the projection of at least one battery cell overlaps the projection of the avoidance portion. The first direction (x), the second direction (z) and the third direction (y) are perpendicular pairwise, and the third direction (y) is the direction of width of the avoidance portion.
