  • Patent number: 7843772
Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a storage section that stores content data. The recording apparatus additionally includes a reproduction history information acquisition section that acquires reproduction history information about the content data from a portable reproducing apparatus. The recording apparatus further includes a content data extraction section that extracts one or more pieces of content data from the content data stored in the storage section in accordance with a reproduction start time included in the reproduction history information. The reproduction start time corresponds to a time at which a reproduction of the content data was started. The recording apparatus additionally includes a content data transfer section that transfers the extracted content data to the portable reproducing apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20060120691
Abstract: The present invention makes it possible to carry and use the user's favorite, up-to-date information without having to perform any complicated procedure. A portable information terminal can receive, via a parent apparatus interface, content data that is extracted from a HDD in accordance with a control operation performed by a hard disk recording apparatus and transferred via a child apparatus interface, record the received content data in a memory, and reproduce the recorded content data for use. In accordance with the information contained in a preference database and broadcast schedule, the hard disk recording apparatus controls a tuner section to select a user's favorite broadcast program, and records the selected broadcast program on a recording medium. In accordance with reproduction data that is supplied from the portable information terminal, a control section updates tuning instruction information that is stored in the preference database.

  • Patent number: 5614934
Abstract: A color correction circuit is best adjusted to consistently obtain a stable, color printing by compensating for a change in the characteristic of a printer under the influence of ambient temperature and humidity. Before the printing of pictorial data, e.g., an image, (reference data produced by a reference data generator), is entered into a printer engine by which it is printed out on a sheet of a paper. This printed data is read in by a color sensor, which in turn produces an output detection signal. A feedback control circuit produces a control signal necessary for a color correction according to the output signal of the color sensor and then sends it to the color correction circuit. The color correction circuit is adjusted and corrects the colors of the pictorial data to be printed. The corrected data is printed out. Repeating this process for each color printing can prevent a variation in the printed colors due to the effect of ambient temperature.

  • Patent number: 5171955
Abstract: In a wire-cut EDM apparatus for cutting a workpiece (2) submerged in a processing tank (3) filled with a machining fluid (15), an opening (24) is made in the side wall of the tank through which an arm unit passes. A slide plate (14) also has an opening for passage of the arm unit and also provents leakage from the space between the opening 24 and the arm unit. In one preferred embodiment a fluid flow between the slide plate and arm unit is used to prevent fluid in the tank from escaping through the space between the slide plate (14) and the arm unit. Alternatively, a low frictional member may be placed between the arm unit and the slide plate for axially sealing the arm unit. Frictional resistance from movement of the lower arm unit is reduced and machining accuracy improved.
