  • Patent number: 6467958
Abstract: Balls are supported between the spherical inner race (5) and the outer race (6) which surrounds one potion of the inner race (6)through the resiliently transformable shell-like retainer (7). By making the inner race (5) and outer race (7), which influence the bearing precision greatly, to be formed in a unit respectively, the bearing precision is increased. For reference, although the retainer is divided, the retainer (7)bears merely the ball holding function and its transformation and the position relation in assembling state do not influence the bearing precision.

  • Publication number: 20020118894
Abstract: Image dividing means of an RPU divides raw image data into divided image data A1 having 2048 horizontal pixels and A2 having 1024 horizontal pixels. The divided image data A1 is continuously processed in single pixel processing means and multiple pixel processing means and thereafter transferred to and stored in a buffer. The divided image data A2 is processed in the single pixel processing means and thereafter transferred to and temporarily stored in another buffer. The multiple pixel processing means reads and processes divided image data A2a stored in this buffer and thereafter transfers and stores the same to and in still another buffer. Image combining means reads divided image data A1b and A2b stored in the buffers and combines the same with each other. Thus, an image processing time and a cost can be reduced even if raw image data having horizontal pixels in a number exceeding the capacity of a line memory is received.

  • Publication number: 20020105583
Abstract: In order to provide a noise removal method for removing noise signals mixed into an image signal without deteriorating picture quality of the overall image, such zigzag noise signals that the difference between the output levels of two pixels adjacent to each other along a noise generation direction alternately takes positive and negative vales at least three times are detected from noise signals mixed into an image signal. Then, a specific pixel is noted among a plurality of pixels corresponding to the noise signals, for calculating a mean value of the output levels of the noise signals with reference to the specific pixel and correcting the output level of a noise signal corresponding to the said specific pixel with the said mean value.

  • Publication number: 20020095790
Abstract: The material of the wall inside a hole in a housing is squeezed toward the center of the using a staking tool with a diameter larger than that of the hole. The material necessary for forming a locking section can be obtained from only a small part of the entire area of the wall of the hole. The amount of material necessary for the entire process is secured and the material is pressed so as to contact with an end face of the outer race using the staking tool, forming the locking section. Accordingly, the locking section provides sufficient strength. Also, since only the small part of the entire area of the wall is necessary as described above, there is no decrease in strength or deformation as to the thin housing.

  • Publication number: 20020054229
Abstract: A pixel clock is switched to a high speed for reading culled pixel data from a CCD or switched to a low speed for reading all pixels from the CCD when picking up an image of an object, so that a main memory stores a first field initially read from the CCD and an RPU reads the first field from the main memory in synchronization with reading of a subsequent second field for executing a series of image processing in real time. The main memory stores the processed data. A CPU reads the processed data from the main memory, compresses the processed data and thereafter stores the same in a storage medium. Thus provided is an image processing circuit capable of increasing a frame rate for finder display and efficiently executing image processing at a high speed.

  • Publication number: 20020039143
Abstract: CCD data is compressed by compression means and stored in a raw image data buffer (step 10). Then, the compressed data is expanded by expansion means, so that pixel data thereof is sequentially output to an RPU (step 11). The RPU executes real-time image processing on the pixel data, so that the processed data is stored in a processed data buffer in units of frames. Then, a CPU reads an image from the processed data buffer at a proper timing and performs software processing such as high-efficiency coding through a temporary storage data buffer, for storing and preserving the processed data in a storage medium (step 12). Thus provided is an image processing circuit capable of reducing the scale of buffer areas in a memory for remarkably reducing the cost for the memory as well as power consumption.

  • Publication number: 20020037117
Abstract: A lock structure of a spherical bearing restrains an outer race from turning relative to a housing with a simple structure. It is provided with protruding portions formed on a periphery of one side of a bearing hole of the housing. A flange is formed on one side of the outer race. Meanwhile notches (engagement portions) are formed in the flange, which are brought into engagement with the protruding portions. An annular V-shaped groove (staking groove) formed in the other side of the outer race is staked. With such a simplified structure, the spherical bearing can be locked to the housing while being restrained from turning relative thereto.
