Abstract: A voice mail system includes a voice mail controller which has software for interfacing with a user. The voice mail system retrieves locally stored voice mails and at the users request, prints the voice mails at a printer. The system can be adapted to retrieve Internet content, store the content and make hardcopies of the content. The system further comprises a telephone system or personal computer coupled to the voice mail controller. The printer device performs prescribed printing functions in response to commands issued by the voice mail controller and the user.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and method for providing an overhead image. A scan region receives a document containing an image to be projected. An illumination element illuminates the document to produce image light. A means for capturing and digitizing captures and digitizes the image light as digital information. A video subsystem produces a projection image from the digital information.

Abstract: The present invention is related to a system and method for aiding a consumer's purchasing decisions related to grocery products. In particular, a display and an input interface are provided at a point-of-sale location. A processor is provided to prompt a user for input parameters related to consumer recipe preferences via the display. The processor receives the input parameters from the input interface. The processor queries a recipe database utilizing the input parameters. The processor identifies grocery products of a recipe identified by the database query. The processor further obtains and provides price information related to the grocery products to the consumer.

Abstract: An overhead slide projector having copier capability in a single, multifunctional unit. A scanning unit is incorporated into the housing of an overhead projector. Digital transmission output ports are provided for transmitting signals indicative of the slide content digitized by the scanning unit. An associated hard copy unit can also be incorporated into the housing. Electronic or hard copy outputs of a transparency currently on the projector stage can be immediately generated.
