    Abstract: A measuring device for setting up powered wood tools and the like includes an elongated body defining a straight edge adapted to abuttingly support the measuring device on a bed of the wood forming machine adjacent the cutter head of the machine. The measuring device further includes a blade that is movably mounted to the elongated body adjacent an end thereof. The blade has a sharp edge configured to engage a cutter head. The measuring device also includes digital display operably connected to the blade and providing a visual readout corresponding to the position of the blade relative to the straight edge of the elongated body.
