Abstract: A method and a device for handover in an earth-moving beam (EMB)-based non-terrestrial network are disclosed. A method of a user equipment (UE) comprises the steps of: receiving, from a first cell of a satellite, first handover configuration information including information about a first cell service timer indicating the time at which a communication service can be provided in the first cell; reducing the first cell service timer according to a first reduction interval; and triggering an intra-satellite (intra-SAT) handover procedure if the first cell service timer has a first critical value or less.

Abstract: A method for adaptive security application in a communication system comprises determining a security level in consideration of a communication environment, transmitting SCI including information of the security level and scheduling information of data to a second UE, generating the data on the basis of a security function according to the security level, and transmitting the data to the second UE in a resource indicated by the scheduling information.

Abstract: An operation method of a first terminal in a communication system is provided. The method includes configuring sidelink (SL) bandwidth parts (BWPs) used for groupcast sidelink communication and transmitting a configuration information message including configuration information of the SL BWPs to participating terminals participating in the groupcast sidelink communication. The groupcast sidelink communication is performed with the participating terminals using one or more SL BWPs among the SL BWPs. In response to determining that reconfiguration of the SL BWPs is necessary, the SL BWPs are reconfigured and a reconfiguration information message including reconfiguration information of the SL BWPs is transmitted to the participating terminals.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving HARQ responses in a communication system are provided. An operation method of a first terminal in a communication system includes receiving configuration information including a first information element indicating a type of a hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) codebook from a base station and generating the HARQ-ACK codebook including a downlink (DL) HARQ information bit for downlink communication between the base station and the first terminal and a sidelink (SL) HARQ information bit for sidelink communication between the first terminal and a second terminal. The HARQ-ACK codebook is transmitted to the base station using an uplink channel.
