  • Patent number: 7530910
Abstract: A device adapted to be emplaced in a self-securing manner between adjacent strings of a tennis racquet for dampening vibrations caused by impact with a tennis ball produces beneficial sensory effects such as a whistling sound and flashing light.

  • Patent number: 6578513
Abstract: A tennis score keeping device includes a length of straight rigid plastic pipe having a closed upper extremity and open bottom extremity. A series of at least seven pairs of holes are disposed in the pipe in diametrically opposed relationship. Each hole has a diameter which can frictionally secure an inserted tennis ball. Numbers between one and seven are sequentially associated with each pair of holes to correspond to the game score. A tunnel extends between each pair of holes for the purpose of preventing tennis balls which are inserted too far into a hole from falling into the pipe. The pipe has a slot which permits mounting onto the post of a tennis net, and also has an aperture adjacent the upper extremity which enables the device to be hung on a fence.

  • Publication number: 20020151390
Abstract: A device for picking up, storing and controllably releasing tennis balls includes a straight hollow tube of adjustable length extending between an upper end equipped with a closure feature, and a lower end having a flexible sphincter mechanism. The closure feature is slideably adjustable to positions which either seal the tube or permit removal of balls. The sphincter mechanism includes a circular array of protrusions interiorly directed toward the center axis of the tube.

  • Patent number: 5664672
Abstract: A closure mechanism for the top of a tennis ball storage container employs a pair of barrier rods that are slideably engaged by tracks in the end panels of the container. When the rods are squeezed together, they enter snap-fitting holding pockets located at the innermost extremities of the tracks. When secured by the holding pockets, the distance of separation between the parallel rods is less than the diameter of a standard tennis ball. When the rods are manipulated apart away from the holding pockets, their distance of separation becomes large enough to permit removal of balls from the container.

  • Patent number: 5485996
Abstract: A cover for the butt end of the handle of a tennis racket is fabricated of a silicone polymer as a monolithic cup-like structure having a downwardly convex bottom portion of circular perimeter and a sidewall portion of upwardly convergent conic contour emergent from said perimeter. The sidewall portion tapers to form a very thin lip which securely grips the handle of the racket without presenting to the user's hand a perceptible feeling of structure.
