  • Patent number: 12006001
Abstract: An apparatus includes a pipe tee with an inlet proximate a first valve, an outlet proximate a second valve, and an inlet-outlet. The inlet receives slush ice when the first valve is open and the second valve is closed. The outlet transmits fluid when the second valve is open and the first valve is closed. The inlet-outlet receives fluid when the second valve is open and the first valve is closed and transmits slush ice when the first valve is open and the second valve is closed. A second pipe tee has an inlet coupled to the outlet of the pipe tee that receives fluid when the second valve is open and the first valve is closed, a first outlet that transmits water, separated from the fluid, when the second valve is open and the first valve is closed, and a second outlet that transmits air, separated from the fluid, when the second valve is open and the first valve is closed.

  • Publication number: 20230371532
Abstract: An apparatus for weakening an attachment of a pin bone to muscle or adipose tissue in a fillet of fish, comprising an energy source to supply sufficient heat to substantially only the pin bone and connective tissue that attaches the pin bone to the muscle or adipose tissue in the fillet of fish to degrade or denature the connective tissue without degrading or denaturing the muscle or adipose tissue and thereby weaken the attachment of the pin bone to the muscle or adipose tissue in the fillet of fish.

  • Publication number: 20230284639
Abstract: An apparatus for weakening an attachment of a pin bone to muscle or adipose tissue in a fillet of fish. An electrode coupled to a power supply and in electrical contact with a first end of the pin bone conducts electrical current to the pin bone. The pin bone conducts the electrical current from the first end of the pin bone to a second end of the pin bone. The pin bone has an electrical current resistivity which causes Joule heating that produces sufficient heat in the connective tissue that attaches the pin bone to the muscle or adipose tissue in the fillet of fish to degrade or denature the connective tissue and thereby weaken the attachment of the pin bone to the muscle or adipose tissue.

  • Patent number: 11745833
Abstract: A line hauler on a fish tender vessel is mounted to a port or starboard quarter location of a deck of the vessel. A loop of floating line is wrapped around the line hauler, extends toward the bow of the vessel to a pulley mounted on a respective port or starboard side, then extends down to the sea, then extends on the surface of the sea adjacent the respective port or starboard side to at least the location where the line hauler is mounted to the deck, and then extends from the surface of the sea back to the line hauler. The loop of line moves in a circle when the line hauler pulls on the line. Lead lines are connected to the line. Fishing vessels attached to the lead lines are pulled alongside the respective port or starboard side of the vessel when the line hauler pulls the line.
