  • Patent number: 4473784
Abstract: A circuit for controlling the power delivered to a load from an alternating current source includes a bridge rectifier coupled to the alternating current source for developing full and half-wave rectified signals in response thereto. The full and half-wave rectified signals are algebraically added to form a reference signal which is applied to one input of a comparator, the other input comprising an adjustable direct current control signal. The output of the comparator comprises a pulse width modulated signal which is used to control the state of a switching transistor connected in series with the load between the rectifier node developing the full-wave rectified signal and a point of reference potential.

  • Patent number: 4148241
Abstract: An electronic musical instrument incorporates a single integrated circuit chip for performing a variety of logical operations for the production of chords and various accompaniment signals automatically, in response to depression of one or two keys within a related portion of the keyboard of the instrument. A multiplexer is employed, in association with the keyboard, to produce a train of signals in response to depression of one or more keys, and one or more function control switches; certain ones of these signals are used to address a plurality of read only memory devices for the generation of the several components needed for the mode of operation which is selected. In an automatic chord mode, a chord is selected automatically, corresponding to an operated key of the keyboard. The chord components include the root, the third (which may be selectively minored), the fifth, the sixth and the seventh (which can be selected or not).

  • Patent number: 4077013
Abstract: A power amplifier with an automatic bias control circuit is disclosed. The amplifier includes two complementary Darlington pairs operating in a push-pull mode providing output power. A bias control network including a switching transistor is coupled to the base circuits of the Darlington pairs for controlling the bias current delivered to the pairs. The transistor is switched on and off by a detecting circuit which senses the presence of input signals applied to the amplifier. The bias control network operates to minimize power consumption by the Darlington pairs when no input signal is present and to raise the bias level of the Darlington pairs without distortion in the output signal when an input is applied to the amplifier.
