    Abstract: A process for stabilizing mixtures of gasoline and methanol containing at least 30% by volume of methanol is disclosed wherein a primary, linear or branched chain monohydroxylated aliphatic saturated alcohol containing from 8 to 15 carbon atoms or a mixture of such alcohols, is added to the gasoline/methanol mixture. The stabilized mixtures described herein are useful as a fuel for automobiles.
