  • Publication number: 20110289632
Abstract: Isolated genes and amino acid sequences encode methylketone synthase 2 (MKS2) enzymes from tomato plants, including, ShMKS2 and SlMKS2. When expressed recombinantly in bacteria and other host cells, the MKS2 enzymes produce methylketones of various carbon chain lengths ranging from C7 to C20 from 3-ketoacyl intermediate substrates. Methylketones are known to have important roles in protecting plants against pests, and also as flavor compounds, and can be used as stockfeed in the chemical industry.

  • Patent number: 8031883
Abstract: A crosstalk cancellation system for preserving quality of sound and the parameter determining method thereof. The system can cancel a two-channel audio signal without compensating a frequency response of an ipsilateral HRTF. The method includes providing an audio signal input device for inputting the two-channel audio signal, modeling a relation between parameters of the crosstalk cancellation system and a head related transfer function (HRTF) to thereby obtain an output transfer impulse response, setting contralateral parts of the output transfer impulse response approximate to zero, setting ipsilateral parts of the output transfer impulse response equal to a delay of ipsilateral head related impulse responses (HRIRs) corresponding to the HRTF, and performing an inverse operation to compute the parameters of the crosstalk cancellation system.

  • Publication number: 20080200057
Abstract: The present invention is a half length SIM card reader with a cover and a hinge. By using the half length SIM card reader, the restriction area on the printed circuit board is very small. The restriction area is about half the size of a SIM card, unlike other SIM card readers which require space longer than the SIM card. By having a small footprint, additional components are able to be included on the printed circuit board. Furthermore, the assembled cover with the hinge provides vertical operation of the SIM card.
