  • Publication number: 20240162623
Abstract: The disclosed apparatus may include an antenna radiating structure that includes an active transparent mesh portion as well as a non-transparent antenna radiator portion. By combining transparent metal mesh and non-transparent metallic film into the antenna radiating structure, the disclosed apparatus results in improved radiation efficiency. Moreover, when overlaid on a transparent lens (such as with a pair of augmented reality glasses), the antenna radiating structure leaves the optical transparency of the lens largely unaffected due to the placement of the non-transparent metallic film. Various other implementations are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11983566
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and techniques for scheduling deep learning tasks in hardware are described. One accelerator circuit includes multiple fixed-function circuits that each processes a different layer type of a neural network. A scheduler circuit receives state information associated with a respective layer being processed by a respective fixed-function circuit and dependency information that indicates a layer dependency condition for the respective layer. The scheduler circuit determines that the layer dependency condition is satisfied using the state information and the dependency information and enables the fixed-function circuit to process the current layer at the respective fixed-function circuit.

  • Publication number: 20240085536
Abstract: Various methods and systems are disclosed to improve detection probability of time of flight lidar systems by generating real-time background signals for individual pixels of a sensor of the lidar detection system and use the background signals to dynamically control the detection system of the lidar. The background signals, that indicate the amount of background light received by different pixels, are used for controlling the detection system by adjusting at least one of the optical system, the sensor, and the readout system of the detection system in order to reduce the impact of the back ground light on the detection and range finding functionality of the lidar.

  • Publication number: 20240083421
Abstract: Various methods and systems are disclosed to improve the reliability and accuracy of a time of flight lidar systems by generating real-time background signals for individual pixels of a sensor of the lidar detection system and use the background signals to generate confidence signals. The confidence signal indicates validity of a return signal or a probability that the return signal is not associated with interference with another lidar or light source. The confidence signals may be used by the lidar system to reduce the false alarm rate of the lidar.
