Patent number: 8869824Abstract: A check valve assembly which in an open position allows liquid to flow in one direction through the assembly including a moving sealing member which engages a seal to prevent liquid flow in a second opposite direction. The sealing member may be moved into engagement with the seal by rotation of a stem with an eccentric to block flow in both directions. A check valve and shut-off device assembly which in an open position allows liquid to flow in one direction through the assembly until gas or foam is mixed with the liquid. The shut-off device includes a sealing member which engages a seal to block flow through the assembly when foam or gas is present in the liquid. The check valve includes a sealing member which can reset the shut-off device. The check valve sealing member also engages the same sealing member to prevent any flow through the assembly in a closed position. In an open position, the check valve sealing member may engage the seal to prevent reverse flow of liquid through the assembly.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2011Date of Patent: October 28, 2014Assignee: Perlick CorporationInventor: Gennady Arov

Patent number: 8656952Abstract: A faucet including a flow reducing insert positioned within an interior of a faucet body, the body and insert having tapered portions that are configured to reduce flow through the faucet when the insert is moved downstream laterally with the body. The insert and the body further having straight portions downstream from the tapered portions with the straight portion including features that permit liquid passing between the tapered portions to flow into the interior and through a downstream end of the faucet. A flow reducer with an insert and interior walls similarly configured to the faucet above.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2010Date of Patent: February 25, 2014Assignee: Perlick CorporationInventor: Gennady Arov

Patent number: 8066257Abstract: A liquid dispensing faucet including a flow control lever engaging a sealing member within an internal cavity of a faucet body. The sealing member is held within the faucet body in an oversized recess permitting liquid to flow about all sides of the sealing member when the flow control handle is placed in an open position and liquid flows through the faucet body. The faucet body may have a removable spout mounted at a second end of the body. An air inlet may be included within a flow path of the liquid downstream of the sealing member. This air inlet promotes the removal of residual liquid from the flow path when the flow lever is in a closed position and is positioned to discourage flow of the liquid through the air inlet when the flow lever is in an open position.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2006Date of Patent: November 29, 2011Inventors: Gennady Arov, John M. Strobel

Publication number: 20050166971Abstract: A valve that includes a valve body in which a valve piston is disposed. The valve piston has a disc and an elongate stem that is reciprocably carried by a valve guide. The valve guide is part of an assembly that includes an cap that is attached to a Y-pattern valve body. The valve body has a valve seat that preferably is an integral hard seat and the disc has a sealing surface that preferably is a hard surface. Where operation independent of the effects of gravity is desired, a biasing element, preferably a coil spring captured in compression, is disposed in communication with the valve guide and the stem of the piston. A tolerance is provided between the stem and guide that permits angular and lateral adjustment of the disc during closing that compensates for mislocation and/or misalignment between the cap and valve body.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2005Publication date: August 4, 2005Inventors: Gennady Arov, David Stein

Patent number: 5746423Abstract: A vise with a clamp having a housing with clamp fingers and load transfer elements enabling the fingers to move relative to each other to compensate for tolerance variations between workpieces simultaneously clamped or contour variations in a workpiece. Each finger is elongate and reciprocable relative to the housing. Preferably, each element is disc-shaped and can be constructed and arranged to interlock with other elements to promote clamp stability. The elements are constructed and arranged within the housing in a first row of elements behind the clamp fingers and a second row of elements behind the first row and can move relative to each other. Preferably, there are the same number of elements in the first row as there are clamp fingers and one less element in the second row. To encourage stability, the housing preferably has inwardly extending dividers between fingers and inwardly extending sidewall portions that can be inwardly inclined to form an element guide surface.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 1996Date of Patent: May 5, 1998Assignees: Gennady Arov, James L.
