    Abstract: An actuation transmission apparatus for actuating a component of a switchable valve train device of an internal combustion engine includes: a shaft rotatable by an actuation source; a contacting element for contacting the component of the switchable valve train device; and a biasing device for biasing the contacting element rotationally with respect to the shaft; wherein, in use, the biasing device becomes biased by the shaft when the actuation source rotates the shaft when the actuation source attempts to actuate the component of the switchable valve train device, via the contacting element, when the component of the switchable valve train device is not able to be actuated, whereby the biasing device is configured to cause the contacting element to actuate the component of the switchable valve train device when the component of the switchable valve train device becomes actuatable again.

The biasing unit causes the lever to activate the switchable valve train component when the switchable valve train component is in an activatable state again.

    Abstract: A valve train assembly includes valves having a valve stem; a main camshaft having main cams corresponding to the valves; main rocker arms corresponding to the valves; an auxiliary cam arranged on the main camshaft; at an auxiliary cam follower following the auxiliary cam, the auxiliary cam follower being movably arranged on a main rocker arm between a first and second position; and a latch on a main rocker arm for locking the auxiliary cam follower in the first position. A rotatable control rod controlling the latch is between the first and the second positions. The control rod includes a transmission element configured to convert torque in the control rod into a control force to control movement of the latch.
