  • Patent number: 7032783
Abstract: A pump dispenser for liquid products includes a pump chamber having a cylinder, and a piston slidable within the cylinder with an outlet passage extending through the piston. A spring within the chamber urges the piston to an extended position. An inlet opening is disposed at an end of the chamber for receiving product to be dispensed. An inlet check valve is positioned at the inlet opening to permit entry of product into the chamber as the piston is extended by the spring, but to prevent exit of product from the chamber through the inlet opening as the piston is depressed against the spring. An outlet check valve is carried by the piston within the outlet passage to permit discharge of product from the chamber through the outlet passage as the piston is depressed against the spring.

  • Patent number: 6446882
Abstract: The invention is a trigger sprayer comprising a tubular nozzle bushing and a nozzle cap rotatable on the bushing. The nozzle cap has an end wall with a first swirl chamber formed on the rear face thereof offset from the axis. Passages to a second chamber are diametrically opposite the first chamber. Both chambers have orifices directed out the front of the cap. The first orifices is surrounded by a foaming sleeve. The second orifice is positioned forward of the first orifice so that the spray cone emanating from the second orifice does not hit the foaming sleeve. The cap can be rotated to connect liquid from the delivery tube to the swirl chamber for one or the other orifices.

  • Patent number: 6425501
Abstract: The end of the arm on the pivoted trigger of a pump dispenser brushes against a projection on the wider end of a funnel-shaped seal to distort the wider end, breaking its seal against the inside of a tubular support for the pump dispenser and opening a vent to the atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 6364173
Abstract: This pump dispenser has a downward tubular support providing a lead-in for a resilient closure. The closure is formed with an upwardly facing inward lead-in chamfer and spaced deep arcuate recesses in the top surface so that the wall between the recesses and the inner diameter is outwardly resilient to permit an attachment flange to stretch the wall outward and permit snap passage of the attachment flange. In this manner the closure is permanently attached to the pump body without the need for welding or separate attaching parts.

  • Patent number: 5975376
Abstract: Outward flanges on top of pump outlet tube include a rearward latching section. A rearwardly extending horizontal shelf is formed on the vertical tubular support of the pump body. The shroud is open-fronted and includes a top wall, connected side walls and a rear end wall with an inward horizontal shoulder. Extending downward along the top wall of the shroud are a pair of opposed channels to the rear of which are unitary downward locking wedges. In assembly, the open-fronted shroud is moved forward onto the pump body in a simple unidirectional linear movement, the channels receiving the outward flanges respectively. The latching sections are flexed downward by the locking wedges and snap past them and the shoulder on the shroud slides under the shelf.
