    Abstract: The present invention relates generally to systems and methods for eliminating parasites and parasitic insects. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for eliminating parasitic insects, such as bed bugs through use of uniform directional heating. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, radiant heat is used over a designated period of time (e.g., cleaning cycle) in order to eliminate parasites in a contaminated area enveloped by a blanket like structure.
