  • Publication number: 20090170582
Abstract: A method, system, and computer readable storage medium to provide a variation of a blackjack game. If the dealer's up-card is of a predetermined card, then the dealer will automatically reveal the dealer's hole card, thereby providing the player with additional information. If the player's initial hand comprises a predetermined hand or hands, then the player can earn a bonus which can be multiplied based on a multiplier associated with the dealer's up-card.

  • Publication number: 20080227537
Abstract: A method, system, and computer readable storage medium to provide a wagering game with multiple levels. A player can place an initial wager on a first wagering game which uses a first paytable. If the player wins the first game, then the initial wager is paid using the first paytable. The initial wager stays alive and is the initial wager is then bet on a second wagering game which pays a player win on the initial wager using a second paytable. The second paytable is typically more player favorable than the first paytable. Before the second wagering game, a second wager can be placed on the second wagering game which would pay using the first paytable. Thus, multiple wagers can be placed simultaneously which each use different paytables.

  • Publication number: 20070284821
Abstract: A variation of casino blackjack that includes a bingo type side game. A scoreboard is prominently displayed to the players which comprise indicator lights representing conditions of either the dealer's hand or a player's hand. When each condition is satisfied, the respective indicator light on the scoreboard is lit. When a player plays the side wager and the scoreboard displays particular combinations, the player wins an award.

  • Publication number: 20060260940
Abstract: An improved disposable glucose test strip for use in a test meter of the type which receives a disposable test strip and a sample of blood from a patient and performs an electrochemical analysis is made using a non-conductive integrated reagent/blood separation layer containing a filler, an enzyme effective to oxidize glucose, e.g., glucose oxidase, and a mediator effective to transfer electrons from the enzyme. The integrated layer formulation is printed over a conductive carbon element to form a working electrode. The filler, for example a silica filler, is selected to have a balance of hydrophobicity and hydrophilicty such that one drying it forms a two-dimensional network on the surface of the conductive element. The response of this test strip is essentially temperature independent over relevant temperature ranges and is substantially insensitive to the hematocrit of the patient.

  • Publication number: 20060097112
Abstract: Firefighting bucket (11) suspended from an aircraft by lines (15), has open top (12A) and a valve at base (13). The valve is attachable to the aircraft by remotely actuatable line (16) and independent movement of lines (15-16) may utilise the weight of the water to facilitate opening and closing of the valve. Dynamic sensing of a bucket attribute, e.g. weight, enables bucket (11) to be filled or discharged by a pre-determined volume by the pilot. Chemical fire retardant may be added by entraining it with water discharging from the valve.
