  • Publication number: 20080192906
Abstract: A method for message management for an audio storage device. The audio storage device includes first segment for storing address information, second segment for storing prerecorded audio data, third segment for storing voice macro scripts, fourth segment for storing user data and reserved messages, and fifth segment for storing audio messages. Address information of the prerecorded audio data and the voice macro script is stored in the first segment. Address information of the audio message is stored in the fourth segment. The method includes receiving an index to a voice macro script, which includes one or more voice macro commands. The method including accessing the first segment of the audio storage device for information related to a starting location of the voice macro script in the third segment. The method retrieves a voice macro command in the third segment; and performs an action related to the retrieved voice macro command.

  • Patent number: 5999186
Abstract: The described CAD system enables a drafter to easily enter dimension entities, which describe the physical dimensions of an object in a CAD drawing or model. The dimension entities define either linear, angular, or radial dimensions, and for each dimension entity, the user defines a reference origin in addition to the normal dimensional information. The value of each defined dimension entity may be a simple constant, a parameter, or an expression of multiple constants and parameters. By virtue of the added reference origin, a very complex network of related dimension entities can be simply defined and easily modified. The recalculation of the dimension entities is performed by a parametric dimensioning engine that transforms groups of entities from the global space of the general CAD drawing or model into a local space. While in local space, the parametric dimensioning recalculates the coordinate data of the entities.

  • Patent number: 5959883
Abstract: An analog recording and playback system using non-volatile flash memory. An array of flash memory cells is used to store an analog signal and retrieve the stored analog signal on a real-time basis. A plurality of column driver circuits are coupled to the columns of flash memory cells for simultaneous programming and reading. A programming algorithm is used to write the analog signal within an operating range of the flash memory cells since the operating range may shift due to process variations. The system includes trimbit circuits to provide a trimmable initial programming voltage, programming step, programming current, read current, and select gate voltage. The system further includes a Serial Peripheral Interface ("SPI") that interfaces with a host microcontroller. The host microcontroller can send a number of commands to the system through the SPI for efficient message management. These commands include the basic commands to record or playback and various addressing and message cueing options.
