Publication number: 20180225617Abstract: A method and system for automating work pattern quantification and providing worker feedback based on quantified metrics is provided. The system may first identify a work pattern to be quantified for a user. Using one more predefined rules associated with the identified work pattern, the system determines at least one task associated with the work pattern. One or more services accessed to perform the associated task(s) are identified and event data from these services is collected, each event including an associated timestamp. The event data is analyzed to generate a focus metric(s). The generated focus metrics may then be used to quantify a work pattern by providing individual or group feedback.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 6, 2017Publication date: August 9, 2018Applicant: GOOGLE INC.Inventors: Patrick LEUNG, Geoff STEARNS, Nick SIDERAKIS, Kirill TITIEVSKY, Benjamin GOJMAN, Zachary YORKE, Xiaolan ZHANG, Adrien BARANES, Samuel HOFFSTAETTER

Patent number: 9363579Abstract: A computer-implemented method provides a user interface for users to navigate through a video content item with various navigation options including the ability to navigate through portions of the video content item not buffered at the user's viewer. The navigation method receives gestures from users that result in navigation.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2010Date of Patent: June 7, 2016Assignee: Google Inc.Inventors: Julian Frumar, Jasson Schrock, Ryan Junee, Simon Ratner, Geoff Stearns

Patent number: 9063638Abstract: Video thumbnails are presented on the web page of a video hosting site, or an embedded player, or a client device. Uploaded videos are examined by a thumbnail generator, which generates thumbnails from each. A presentation engine displays the generated thumbnails, which allows interaction by the user of the client. Thumbnails are displayed at rest, in horizontal or vertical alignment. Arrows or other selectors are displayed in one embodiment, and when selected cause the displayed thumbnails to appear to move in the appropriate direction, with new video thumbnails appearing on one end to replace those that travel off-screen. In one embodiment, video thumbnails appear to roll on to and off of the display using a perspective view. In one embodiment, moving a selecting device over one of the video thumbnails causes it to be accentuated, for example by appearing to move toward the viewer and appearing to increase in size.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 2008Date of Patent: June 23, 2015Assignee: Google Inc.Inventors: Jasson Schrock, Geoff Stearns
