Abstract: A chair comprises a base, a column on the base, a housing on the column and supporting a chair seat and back, a height adjustment means mounted to and between the base and the housing for longitudinal adjustment to alter relative height of the seat. The chair also includes a tilt adjustment means comprising a chair back support means pivotally mounted to the housing for movement between upright and reclining positions, means for biasing the chair back support means in the upright position, tension control means movably engageable with the biasing means for adjusting tension thereof and tilt actuating means movably mounted to the housing for actuating movement of the tension control means. The tilt actuating means comprises an elongated rod rotatably mounted to the housing. The height actuating means comprises an elongated tube rotatably mounted to the housing in telescopic relationship to the actuating rod.

Abstract: A work space management system including free-standing walls and a freestanding cabinet integrated into the wall system and separate from the wall system. The cabinet comprises side wall and back wall channels having vertically spaced openings therein and a connector means to mount the cabinet to a vertical frame member of the freestanding walls or to another cabinet through the indented channel openings. The cabinet further comprises rear frame members having vertically spaced openings for hanging shelving or other articles. The cabinet is also adaptable for having horizontal work accessory support rails. The sides of the cabinet are mounted onto a rigid framework. Wire management capability is provided in the cabinet to interface with wire management in the freestanding walls.

Abstract: A cabinet having a door moveable between a closed position, an open and partially pocketed position, and an open and fully pocketed position. The cabinet further comprises means for aligning the door relative to the cabinet side wall prior to moving the door into the cabinet.

Abstract: The spring-tilt mechanism comprises a support frame (4), a seat portion (1) tiltable on the support frame (4) about a substantially horizontal axis (2) between a first and a second position, e.g. defined by stops (13, 13'). One end (15') of a torsion spring (15) is fixed against rotation in the support frame (4). A gear box (16) is operatively engaged with the other end (15") of the torsion spring (15) and has an extendible member (24) engageable with a tracking surface (31) of the seat portion (1). An operating member (29) on the gear box (17) is easily accessible to a user sitting on the seat portion (1) to pre-load the torsion spring (15) for cushioning the user on the seat portion (1) between the said first and second positions (stops 13, 13').

Abstract: A stacking chair comprising a seat supported by a frame which includes a pair of splayed rear legs supporting the seat near its rear, the rear portion of the seat decreasing in width towards the rear, and the width at the front of the rear portion being greater than the separation of the rear legs adjacent their upper ends and the width of the rear portion at the back being equal to or less than the separation of the rear legs adjacent their upper ends.
