  • Publication number: 20240132224
Abstract: A method of controlling an electric aircraft that has a plurality of actuators that includes a plurality of electric propulsion units includes: receiving force and moment commands for the electric aircraft; determining control commands for the plurality of actuators based on the desired force and moment commands by solving an optimization problem that comprises a noise minimization term for minimizing noise generated by the electric propulsion units; and controlling the plurality of actuators according to the determined control commands to meet the force and moment commands for the electric aircraft.

  • Publication number: 20240111291
Abstract: Building infrastructure and robot coordination methods and systems are disclosed herein. An example method can include preregistering an autonomous vehicle with a building controller of a building to inform the building controller of arrival of the autonomous vehicle and a delivery request for a package, the delivery request specifying a recipient of the package, the recipient having a location in the building. The method can include determining completion of a validation routine with the autonomous vehicle, assigning a task management plan to the autonomous vehicle, the task management plan determining how the autonomous vehicle navigates through the building to deliver the package to the location, and tracking the autonomous vehicle through the building.

  • Patent number: 11911284
Abstract: A curved expandable interbody device for placement between vertebrae having an upper structure, a lower structure, and a screw mechanism, wherein actuation of the screw mechanism moves the upper and lower structures between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. A deployment tool couples to the curved expandable interbody device for positioning the device between adjacent vertebrae and actuating the screw mechanism, wherein the deployment tool can lock to the curved expandable interbody device and pivot relative to the curved expandable interbody device.

  • Patent number: 9790688
Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for detecting defects in building structures is provided. The apparatus includes a detector operable to determine an indication of the defect; and a transmitter operable to wirelessly transmit the indication from the apparatus to a central controller. The system includes the detection unit; a locator operable to determine the location of the detection unit; and a memory for storing the indication and the location in association with each other. The memory may be part of a central controller in wireless communication with the detection unit. The apparatus or central controller may include a processor operable to determine from a plurality of measurements performed by the detection unit a resultant measurement vector indicating a direction from the detection unit toward the defect. The detection unit may be operable to autonomously change its location. A display showing resultant measurement vectors at various locations can be produced.
