Abstract: A log management system includes a computing system that executes a set of instructions to receive one or more search terms from a database, and identify one or more element records that match the search terms. The element records are associated with the elements of a distributed computing environment. For each matched element record, the instructions obtain any of multiple log messages associated with the matched element record from a log message database, and facilitates the display of the one or more identified element records and their associated log messages on a display.

Abstract: A distributed computing environment data store management system includes a computer-based system for identifying a subset of element records in a data store associated with the elements of a distributed computing environment, receiving at least one user-defined data element from a user interface. Using the user-defined data element, the system adds the user-defined data element to each of the subset of element records, and stores each of the subset of element records and their associated user-defined data in the database.

Abstract: A graph database management system includes a computing system in communication with a distributed computing environment comprising a plurality of elements and a database that stores element records associated with corresponding elements of the distributed computing environment. The computing system generates a graph database having a plurality of vertices representing the element records of the distributed computing environment and at least one edge representing a specified relationship between at least one pair of the element records. Thereafter, the computing system may receive a request to view the vertices associated with the at least one pair of element records and their associated edge, and facilitate the display of the vertices and their associated edge on a display in response to the request.

Abstract: An aggregated performance reporting system includes a computing system in communication with a database that stores element records associated with the elements of a distributed computing environment. The computing system stores instructions that are executed to receive a search term from a user interface, and identify a count of each element type that matches the search term. The instructions then identify one or more aggregated performance indicators that are associated with each element type, issue a request to the database to retrieve those element records having the identified element types, calculate the aggregated performance indicators using parametric information included in the retrieved element records, and facilitate the display of the calculated aggregated performance indicators on a display.

Abstract: A messaging system and method for creating a messaging hierarchy in a computer network are described. The network is made up of multiple network entities, which include both publishing entities and subscribing entities, where the publishing entities have data of which the subscribing entities may have need. The messaging system and method for creating a messaging hierarchy also include a data hierarchy applied to the data exchanged between the publishing entities and subscribing entities. The data hierarchy determines the virtual connections formed between the network entities in response to publication and subscription requests exchanged between the entities, such that the virtual connections established between network entities form a hierarchy corresponding to the data hierarchy.

Abstract: A system and method for subscriber tracking and creating subscriber records in a GPRS network is disclosed. First subscriber records are created using information from first data packets captured from a first GPRS network interface. The first subscriber record is compared with information in second data packets captured from a second GPRS network interface. If the second data packets are associated with the first subscriber record, then information from the second data packets is added to the first subscriber record. If the second data packets are not associated with the first subscriber record, then a second subscriber record is created using information in the second data packets.

Abstract: A system and method for subscriber tracking and creating subscriber records in a GPRS or UMTS network is disclosed. A local mapping record is created on a probe monitoring a Gi interface upon the detection of Access Start messages. Additional information is sent from a probe monitoring a Gn/Gp interface, and this information is added to the local mapping record. The processing of captured messages and the creation of local mapping record is prioritized to ensure that records for different subscribers who used the same IP address are not improperly combined. Finally, Gi traffic is tagged with unique subscriber information, such as the International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI), not previously present on the Gi network.
