  • Patent number: 11769386
Abstract: Systems and methods of managing videoconferencing endpoint capacity based on safety concerns (e.g., COVID-19), comprising: capturing a video feed corresponding to a geographic location; detecting a presence of one or more persons corresponding to the geographic location, based on data of the video feed; determining a quantity of persons corresponding to the geographic location, based the data of the video feed; determining that the quantity of persons corresponding to the geographic location exceeds a first predetermined threshold; and—in response to the determination that the quantity of persons corresponding to the geographic location exceeds the first predetermined threshold—issuing one or more alert messages and/or taking other appropriate action(s).

  • Publication number: 20080148289
Abstract: A method is provided for performing an action, in a distributed environment, upon occurrence of a monitored event related to a set of data elements. The method includes providing a rule that includes an event identification component which specifies an event to be monitored and an action component which specifies an action to be performed when the event has occurred. The method also includes determining, from the rule, if the event identification component is to be evaluated by a remote event engine and if the action component is to be evaluated by the remote event engine, evaluating the event identification component and the action component of the rule.

  • Publication number: 20070292835
Abstract: A method for reporting student relevant data to parents that provides secure access by a validated user over a computer network to forms that enable the user to associate student relevant data categories with a particular student. The computer network enables selective display of the forms on a user's terminal. The method enables a user, e.g., teacher or administrator, to select a student and to associate student relevant data categories therewith. The method creates a message for each selected student corresponding to the associated student relevant data categories. The message is transmitted to parents; preferably in their language using prerecorded digital messages. Student relevant data comprises informational and behavioral data. The method preferably enables the user to select a set of students in one step and to concurrently associate student relevant data categories therewith. Messages sent by telephone to a parent are each preferably sent with different caller IDs.

  • Patent number: 4073960
Abstract: Improved ruminant milk and meat products are formed by feeding ruminant animals prior to slaughter or milking a feed supplement comprising lipid encapsulated by a protein aldehyde reaction product which protects the lipid from degradation in the rumen and allows the dietary lipid to digest in the abomasum and lower gut and become assimilated by the ruminant animal. In one particular embodiment, the dietary lipid is unsaturated, e.g., polyunsaturated vegetable oil, and the resulting meat and milk products are correspondingly high in unsaturated lipid content.
