Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to a skateboard deck comprising a plurality of stacked wood ply laminate layers; at least one non-wood layer, wherein the at least one non-wood layer is centered over a center axis of the skateboard deck, and is positioned between a first and second wood layer; a length of the at least one non-wood layer being determined by a formula: p/2.times.3-L+1, wherein “p” is the number of wood ply layers, and “L” is the overall length of the skateboard deck; and a width of the at least one non-wood layer being determined by either the formula: w/3.times.2+1, wherein “w” is the overall width of the skateboard deck, or the formula: w/3.times.2-1, wherein “w” is the overall width of said skateboard deck.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a reinforced skateboard deck during the skateboard deck manufacturing process with adhering non-wood materials to the laminate ply's of wood with non-wood materials and the steps of adhering the non-wood material to the wood ply laminate for installation on the top wood laminate and or between any of the laminated layers of the skateboard deck during the normal laminating process and a method of manufacturing a skateboard deck during the skateboard deck manufacturing process with the installation and adhering of a strip or strip's of non-wood metallic material to a laminate ply of wood with the method comprising of the steps of adhering the non-wood metallic material to the wood ply laminate creating a center core cartridge with the non-wood metallic material installed for the installation during the normal skateboard deck laminating process.

Abstract: An improved skateboard deck and method of making the same consisting of laminations of wood, Non-wood, (First Quality Carbon Fiber (Warp Direction) & Kevlar Hybrid Fabric) & (Kevlar Fabric) and Metal (Titanium Strips). The lamination of the three or more materials, one material being wood, the other material being non-wood ply's and another material being metal constructed and positioned precisely according to design specifications and placed in accordance to their respective lengths and widths according to their exact determined length and widths and the order in which the materials are placed will structurally enhance the laminated wood skateboard deck.
