  • Patent number: 11671318
Abstract: A network device, method, and non-transitory computer readable medium storing computer readable program code, for the post-deployment updating of network device management switch configurations. Particularly, in overcoming limitations imposed by the current state of technology, embodiments disclosed herein enable and implement multiple-master, single-slave interactions amongst network device hardware and using communication protocols otherwise designed to support single-master, single- or multiple-slave(s) configurations. Further, through said multiple-master, single-slave interactions, embodiments disclosed herein facilitate the in-the-field modification of management switch configurations across scenarios following and/or during deployment of network devices in networks.

  • Patent number: 11009928
Abstract: Techniques for optimizing airflow in a network device are provided. In one set of embodiments, a network device can identify one or more device components whose temperature thresholds may be adjusted to be higher (or in other words, more aggressive) than their normal values. The network device can then increase the temperature thresholds for those identified components and use the increased thresholds as static inputs to a fan control algorithm of the device. In another set of embodiments, the network device can check the current airflow within the device on a periodic basis. If the current airflow does not meet an airflow requirement, the network device can incrementally increase the temperature thresholds of the identified components, provide the increased thresholds to its fan control algorithm, and subsequently re-check the current airflow. These steps can repeat until the current airflow meets the airflow requirement.

  • Patent number: 9326437
Abstract: A shovel and ergonomic second-handle for a shovel are disclosed. The shovel includes a scoop; a shaft having first and second end portions, the first end portion being secured to the scoop; a main handle at the second end portion of the shaft; and a second handle positioned relatively closer to the first end portion of the shaft than to the second end portion of the shaft, the second handle including a grip, and the second handle being positioned such that a line extending through a longitudinal axis of the grip intersects the shaft. The grip is disposed at an angle ? relative to the shaft.

  • Publication number: 20030133436
Abstract: A method and devices for managing telephony switches, and thus telephone networks is disclosed. The method and devices allow communication with a telephony switch by way of a packet switched computer network such as the internet. Operations and management messages adhering to a known, pre-defined format, are encapsulated in data packets exchanged over the network.

  • Patent number: 4210312
Abstract: A valve control element having a rotatable relatively rigid element in contact with a relatively flexible element and so arranged that relative movement between the two elements serves to cause a change in the contour of the flexible element thereby effecting a valve control function.
