    Abstract: A resin pot assembly for use with a barrier cable gland is provided. The resin pot assembly is shaped and dimensioned to locate within an internal cavity of a cooperating barrier cable gland and has a closable end configured to seal onto a cable sheath of a cable in an installed condition. The resin pot assembly has two, coaxial components configured in the installed condition to surround a plurality of individually electrically insulated conductors extending out of the cable sheath. A first hollow component in the form of a clear cylinder provides the closable end of the resin pot assembly and a second hollow component, which is rigid, provides an pen end of the resin pot assembly and is axially spaced apart from the closable end of the resin pot assembly. The resin pot assembly operatively receives a resin mix therein.

    Abstract: A cable gland is provided which has an elongate body having an entrance end and a fitting end with a passage extending therebetween. A locating member having a flange which operatively abuts the entrance end of the body is provided. A clamping assembly is securable to the entrance end of the body through a coupler, and includes a tubular member having a clamping end and a free end with a bore extending between them. The clamping end provides a clamping surface complementary to the flange of the locating member such that cable armour can be secured between the clamping surface and the flange, both of which extend in a radial direction, generally normal to the axes of the passage and the bore.

    Abstract: An angularly adjustable tubular elbow is provided for use in association with an electrical junction box. The elbow has an externally screw threaded male spigot at one end and a correspondingly screw threaded female socket at the other end. A locknut cooperates with the screw thread on the male spigot so as to leave usable screw thread on the male spigot that has a length at least equal to one thread pitch longer than is required for satisfying a specification or requirement. A seal that accommodates rotation of the elbow about the axis of the spigot is provided between the male spigot and the locknut to prevent ingress of moisture or other unwanted fluids along the thread. The elbow can be installed with the locknut fully retracted, followed by rotation of the elbow by no more than 360° to align the female socket and subsequently tightening the locknut.

The cable gland comprises earthing members (60) in electrical engagement with the first and second gland portions, each earthing member including a spike (68) for penetrating through a sheath layer of an electrical cable, following radially inward movement of the spike, thereby forming an electrical earth connection with a conducting portion of a cable. The first gland portion comprises a first cam surface and the second gland portion comprises a second cam surface, wherein the first and second cam surfaces are adapted to engage respective earthing member cam surfaces (72, 74) of the earthing member, the first and second cam surfaces thereby causing the earthing member and the corresponding spike to move radially inwards as the first and second gland portions are brought into threaded engagement with each other.
