    Abstract: A combination mounting flange and handle for attaching a flasher light unit to a plastic traffic barricade is disclosed herein. A handle is integrally molded to each of the barricade panels to allow for convenient dismantling and transportation of the barricade. A flange is molded onto each handle so that a flasher light unit may be affixed to a handle using a fastening bolt. The position of the mounted flasher light unit near the cross-bars of the barricade prevents the unit from being knocked out of placement by common road or construction disturbances. The shape and position of the handle allows for simplified usage and easier access to the fastening bolt by the user.

    Abstract: A mounting assembly includes a bracket, flasher light unit, and barricade. The bracket has a slot for attachment to the barricade and a round aperture for attachment to the flasher light unit. When attached to the barricade, the bracket and flasher may be rotated out of position to facilitate maintenance and rotated back into proper position for use. To prevent the accidental misaligning of the flasher during use, small protrusions on the barricade hold the bracket and flasher firmly in a proper vertical position.

    Abstract: An improved barricade is composed of two identical, hollow, molded plastic panel units which are bolted together at top hinges. Novel detents lock the barricade in an open position for use. This mechanism allows for folding and storage by pushing the legs together with a substantial force. The panel units incorporate reinforcing ribs on the legs that taper off at their top and cooperate with opposing leg members and a specially shaped hinge section to allow for flat, compact storage. Horizontal panels are flush to the surface of the panel unit for optimum strength and space utilization. Bottom portions of the hollow panel units are filled with sand as a ballast to increase stability. A special mounting bracket is attached next to one of the hinges to support attachments such as flashers.

    Abstract: The hollow plastic barricade comprises a pair of identical, integral, hollow, hinged-together barricade frame members, each frame member having first and second hinge sections located at respective upper corners thereof. The first hinge section on one frame member cooperates with the second hinge section on the other frame member to form two hinges between the frame members. Each frame member comprises two hollow, spaced apart side frame portions with a leg at the bottom of each side portion, an upper hollow panel, a middle hollow panel and a lower hollow sandbag bar, all extending between the side frame portions. The middle panel is spaced beneath the upper panel and the hollow sandbag bar is spaced beneath the middle panel and is spaced above the bottom of the legs a distance which will permit the barricade to be placed over uneven terrain and still be supported by the legs. At least one of the panels is adapted to receive indicia thereon.
