  • Publication number: 20130246109
Abstract: A system and article are disclosed for annotating resource variation. In one example, the system discloses an installation 102, having a device 128 associated with a user 118, and a resource manager 107, 120 programmed with executable instructions, which detect a resource 104 variation 308 associated with the device 128, and label the resource variation with a user annotation 316 generated by the user. In another example, the system discloses a network resource manager service 107 programmed with executable instructions, which interface with an installation 102, having a set of sensors 126 and a set of devices 128 associated with a user 118, receive data from at least one of the sensors which detects a resource 104 variation 308 associated with at least one of the devices; and label the detected resource variation with a user annotation 316.

  • Patent number: 8448860
Abstract: The present invention describes a method of determining the location of an asset comprising the steps of: for each asset tag in the rack, exchanging identity information and location information with at least one tag of a neighboring asset, wherein at least the location information is exchanged along a substantially physically unobstructed path between the asset tag and it's at least one neighboring asset tag; for each asset tag, transmitting the identity information and location information exchanged to a collection unit; and responsive to the information transmitted to the collection unit determining the location of the asset relative to other assets.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 8251279
Abstract: A variable data barcode label, comprising sequence of barcodes integrated onto a substrate, the sequence of barcodes including a identification sequence and a reference sequence which defines the readable region of the barcode label; and a sensor integrated onto the substrate, wherein the output of the sensor measurement is located in the variable data field of the barcode label and is optically viewable by an optical reading device.
