    Abstract: A laminate vehicle floor liner includes a core backing layer that is coated on either side with a polymer layer. The polymer layers act as moisture barriers to prevent water moisture and vapor from seeping into and degrading the core backing material. The liner may further include a reinforcing layer and third polymer layer laminated onto it. The polymer layers lock in and create a moisture barrier for the encapsulated backing and reinforcing layers.
