Patent number: 7814711Abstract: A leveling assembly for an interior wall system is disclosed. The wall system is composed of a number of wall panels configured for installation in a building having a ceiling and a floor. The assembly includes at least one elongate floor channel secured to the floor and a floor rail longitudinally disposed within the floor channel. The floor rail supports one or more of the wall panels. A number of levelers are positioned along the floor channel. The levelers permit the floor rail to be vertically spaced apart from the floor channel. The levelers are adjustable to level the floor rail in relation to the floor.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2007Date of Patent: October 19, 2010Assignee: TK Canada LimitedInventors: Geoffrey Milligan, Zoran Baic, Paul Kruger

Publication number: 20050097841Abstract: A method of glazing an opening in a wall structure such as an interior wall in an office building, in which a glazing frame is fitted around a glass panel and the panel and frame are inserted into the opening. Clips are installed within the opening and engage the frame so as to prevent displacement of the frame outwardly of the opening. A trim frame is then installed from the opposite side of the opening and is retained by and conceals the clips. The trim frame provides a symmetrical smooth exterior surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 10, 2003Publication date: May 12, 2005Applicant: TK Canada LimitedInventors: Geoffrey Milligan, Zoran Baic, Nicholas Molo

Patent number: 6712433Abstract: A workstation system includes, as a “core” element, a self-standing service trunk that can be used in association with free-standing desks placed adjacent the trunk, or desk structures that are physically connected to the trunk. The trunk has a top that provides a generally horizontal storage support surface above desk height, and the trunk incorporates power and communication cable troughs for delivering power and communication services from an input location on the trunk to an output location accessible from a desk associated with the trunk.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2002Date of Patent: March 30, 2004Assignee: TK Canada LimitedInventors: John Hellwig, Geoffrey Milligan, Steve Verbeek, Lorie Marangoni, Genadij Makarewicz, Terry Woodside, Stefano Lio, Zoran Baic, Jonathon Loudon, Dakota Kasdorf, Paul Kruger

Patent number: 6446396Abstract: A wall system for partitioning interior space within a building includes an internal frame made up of vertical posts and horizontal rails extending between the posts. Panels providing a fascia defining a covering on the frame are coupled to the panel by plug-in connectors. The panels may include “smart” elements or fascias providing writing or tack board surfaces, or an accessory element to which shelves or other accessories can be coupled. Heavier capacity shelves can be coupled directly to the posts of the frame. Electrical and/or data connections can be provided via a horizonal rail incorporated in the skin. The rails can include a plug-in module and wire management channels extending outwardly from the module. The wall system may incorporate a pocket door built on the same principle as the overall wall structure. Also disclosed are a pivot door structure and a patch plate for fitting a standard lockset or latchset to a glass door.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2000Date of Patent: September 10, 2002Assignee: Teknion Furniture Systems LimitedInventors: Lorie Marangoni, Geoffrey Milligan, Zoran Baic, Christine Dominik, Steven Verbeek, Genadij Makarewicz, Ulf Stahmer, Nicolas Koeppe

Patent number: 6168247Abstract: A file drawer is disclosed where two opposed top edges of the file drawer include pivoting rails which are movable to one of the two positions. The rails in one position are spaced for supporting letter size file jackets and in the other position support metric A4 size file jackets. This arrangement allows the manufacture of common size file drawers which can easily be adjusted for either filing application.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 1999Date of Patent: January 2, 2001Assignee: Teknion Furniture Systems LimitedInventors: Ulf Stahmer, Christine Dominik, Geoffrey Milligan, Lorie Marangoni
