    Abstract: A method for managing the display of a vertical flight profile of an aircraft includes: determining a deviation between a predefined lateral trajectory and the current position of the aircraft projected in the plane of the trajectory; as a function of at least the determined deviation, selecting a display mode of the vertical flight profile from among a first mode and a second mode. When the first mode has been selected, calculating the distance between the orthogonal projection of the current position of the aircraft on the trajectory and the orthogonal projection of the next waypoint on the trajectory, and displaying, in the vertical flight profile, the next waypoint at a distance from the aircraft along a reference axis equal to the distance. When the second mode has been selected, calculating the distance instead from the current position of the aircraft in the plane of the trajectory.

    Abstract: This method for managing the display of a flight profile of an aircraft is implemented by an electronic management device. It comprises determining a current range of altitudes displayed during the display of a vertical flight profile; and acquiring at least one constraint associated with an upcoming point of a flight plan, each constraint including at least one reference altitude. The method further comprises, when a respective reference altitude is not included in the current displayed altitude range, displaying a symbol representative of the constraint for said reference altitude not included in the current displayed altitude range.
