  • Publication number: 20240386341
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide techniques for curriculum generation for customized learning solutions. A job description is obtained, and a user's current skill level is assessed. Discrepancies are identified and a customized learning solution is generated based on the deficiencies. Factors such as cost, completion time, learning preferences, and course ratings are included in the generation of the customized learning solution. In this way, users obtain a customized learning solution that provides a path for the users to acquire the needed skills for a desired job, thereby increasing the opportunities for workers, and enabling companies, government, and other institutions to increase the productivity of their workforce.

  • Patent number: 10980198
Abstract: Plants are grown in adjacent rows of trays that are rotated within a pool of a nutrient solution. The roots of the plants are at least partly immersed in the nutrient solution. Each row includes a gap wide enough to receive a single tray from an adjacent row. Using three rows, the plants are planted only in one of the rows, and later the rotation is used to space the planted trays one tray apart. Each tray is a parallelepipedal block with apertures for supporting respective plants. The long sides of the blocks have protrusions for preventing adhesion of the blocks. Airlift pumping circulates the nutrient solution past the roots and maintains at least 80% dissolved oxygen saturation in the nutrient solution. A screen of parallel inflatable tubes provides adjustable shade above the pool.

  • Publication number: 20140294484
Abstract: A link apparatus includes a tubular member that retains 90% of ultimate tensile strength at a temperature of up to 625°. Two conical adapters are mechanically joined to respective ends of the tubular member. Two rod ends include a threaded shank and a socket. One threaded shank is threaded into a right hand threaded base of one conical adapter, and the other threaded shank is threaded into a left hand threaded base of the other conical adapter. Each of the sockets have a bearing assembly disposed therein including an outer race, a ball disposed therein, and a low-friction liner disposed between the outer race and ball for mitigating moment loading on the tubular member. The cross-sectional area of the tubular member is about equal to the cross sectional area of the rod ends. The tubular member is tensionable by rotation relative to the rod ends.

  • Publication number: 20100269629
Abstract: A low friction load slot bearing assembly has a ball and an outer race in which the ball is positioned. The outer race includes an inner engagement surface contoured to a shape complementary to an outer surface of the ball, a first slot located in a face of the outer race, a second slot located in the face of the outer race, and a lubricous liner disposed on the inner engagement surface and on surfaces defining the slots. The low friction aspect is imparted to the load slot bearing assembly via the lubricious liner. The ball slidably and rotatably engages the inner engagement surface of the outer race. A load slot bearing system includes a low friction load slot bearing assembly interconnecting two elements. A link apparatus includes a cylindrical member and two low friction load slot bearing assemblies located on or at opposing ends of the cylindrical member.

  • Publication number: 20100016224
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of enhancing a pro-inflammatory immune response through the administration of the DEAD-box protein DDX3, as encoded by SEQ ID NO:1. The invention further extends to a method of suppressing an aberrant immune response, such at that associated with autoimmune conditions, through inhibition of DDX3. The invention also extends to a method of suppressing a pro-inflammatory immune response through the administration of the vaccinia virus protein K7. The invention further extends to the provision of an attenuated poxvirus wherein the K7R gene which encodes for the K7 protein is deleted or rendered non-functional. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising DDX3 inhibitory compounds, such as K7, are also provided.
