Publication number: 20230174870Abstract: A configurable universal wellbore reactor system designed for localized heat, pressure, and reaction control, to facilitate desired reactor conditions to transform feedstocks to recoverable products via diluent- based processes and/or reactions. The present system provides for a universal wellbore reactor for the diluent transformation of a diverse range of feedstocks, such as hydrocarbon waste, municipal waste, industrial waste, and/or mineral rich resources to recoverable product(s). Heat and temperature within the wellbore reactor are controlled by configuring various reactor components to govern the direction and magnitude of internal and external heat transfer within. Together with skin frequency heat transfer of ferromagnetic reactor piping at predetermined locations, the required temperature(s) and pressure(s) for the desired targeted reactions and/ or transformation reactions are achieved.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 21, 2021Publication date: June 8, 2023Inventors: Geoffrey Ward Presley, Thomas Christian Valenti, Jesse Ronald Mohrbacher

Patent number: 11293624Abstract: A positional adjustment mechanism comprises a movable plate having first and second positioning actuators and a biasing member to bias the plate against the actuators. The movable plate has three flat surfaces facing the actuators and biasing member one of which is not substantially perpendicular to either of the other two. The biasing member ensures that the plate is held in contact with the actuators during adjustment. Also, an adjustable mount comprises a support and a fixed bar extending therefrom, an axially movable bar extending from the support and being axially movable relative thereto, and an element movably mounted to the fixed bar and movably mounted to the movable bar, the first element being selectively fixable relative to the fixed bar and selectively fixable relative to the movable bar. This arrangement allows a great degree of freedom in adjusting the position of the element as it can be selectively fixed to either or both of the fixed bar and movable bar.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2017Date of Patent: April 5, 2022Assignee: IN TANDEM DESIGNS PTY LTDInventors: Geoffrey Ward, Bradley Charles Jones

Publication number: 20220004923Abstract: Systems and methods for model explanation are disclosed. In one embodiment, the disclosed process determines a score based on a scoring function and a plurality of values associated with a plurality of features of a denied credit applicant. (e.g., credit score of 550, no loans repaid, etc.). The process then determines a score of an approved credit applicant. (e.g., credit score of 750, 3 loans repaid, etc.). A next differential credit assignment associated with the current denied/approved pair is then calculated. If a convergence stopping criteria, (e.g., current accuracy>99% based on a statistical t-distribution) is not satisfied, the process repeats for a different approved credit applicant. When the convergence stopping criteria is satisfied, explanation information is generated. For example, the explanation information may include an adverse action reason code, fairness metric, disparate impact metric, human readable text, feature importance metric, credit value, and/or an importance rank.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 1, 2021Publication date: January 6, 2022Applicant: ZestFinance, Inc.Inventors: Sean Kamkar, Geoffrey Ward

Patent number: 9207176Abstract: A method of measuring the concentration of a substance, using a sensor (2) comprising a luminescent material, an LED light source (14) which supplies a pulse of light to the sensor to cause luminescence of the material, a detector (26) for detecting the emitted light and a data processing module (28) for analysing the signals and indicating the concentration of the substance. In a measuring sequence there is a series of pulses of light spaced apart sufficiently to permit the luminescence to decay between pulses. The signals which are analysed are those generated after each pulse of light has terminated and the luminescence is decaying. The data processing module (28) comprises a plurality of accumulators (52A, 52B, 52C and 52D) which are controlled to be operable over a corresponding plurality of different periods of time during decay of the luminescence. Each accumulator accumulates values indicative of the intensity of the luminescence from the series of pulses in the measuring sequence.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2011Date of Patent: December 8, 2015Assignee: Oxford Optronix LTD.Inventor: Geoffrey Ward
