    Abstract: A golf club (10) comprises a shaft (12), a grip area (14) at an upper portion of the shaft (12), and a head (16) attached to the bottom end of the shaft (12). The shaft (12) has a chamber (18) with a percussion surface (20) positioned at an upper end thereof and a stop (22) defining a lower end thereof. Percussion impact objects (24,26) are movably contained within the chamber (18). At the end of backswing, the percussion impact objects (24,26) strike the percussion surface (20) to provide an audio signal to a golfer that he/she has paused sufficiently and can begin the downswing.
