  • Patent number: 5678467
Abstract: An exchangeable handle for wooden pushers which handle includes a grip having a base plate which is L-shaped in cross section, this base plate having a long leg and a short leg in which spikes are provided for driving into the wooden pusher. The spikes attached to the short leg project at right angles from the short leg and extend parallel to the long leg. The spikes provided at the free end of the long leg are attached to a swivel lever which is rotatable about a shaft. The spikes which project out of the long leg through openings therein can be swiveled by an actuating lever from a direction substantially parallel to the sort leg into an engagement position at an angle thereto.

  • Patent number: 5423359
Abstract: A protective hood for wood cutting machines covers a cutting tool which is fastened to a spindle, projects vertically from a machine table, and is situated under the protective hood which is arranged on the machine table. The protective hood has two side walls which are connected with one another by a rear wall, a cover, and a vertically adjustable front protective shield which can be clamped at the front edge of the cover by locking screws. At least the lower edge of the protective shield, preferably the entire protective shield, can be adjusted upward vertically against the force of pressure springs. The protective shield is supported so as to be displaceable in two guide strips which are fastened at the front edge of the cover of the protective hood. The protective shield which is constructed in this way always exerts a contact pressure on the workpiece with its lower edge.

  • Patent number: 5381842
Abstract: A protecting and guiding device for wood-shaping machines for shaping curved workpieces by means of a cutter (14) which is mounted on a spindle (12), projects vertically from a horizontal machine table (10), and is located underneath a covering hood (16) fastened to the machine table (10), a guide member (70) for the workpiece being held inside the covering hood (16). The covering hood has two side walls (18) connected with one another by a rear wall (20), a vertically adjustable front protective shield (28), and a top cover (22) provided with a connection piece (36) for a suction device. The two side walls (18) have smooth, plane inner surfaces (80) extending parallel to one another and are arranged so as to be horizontally displaceable independently from one another at the top cover (27) of the covering hood (16).

  • Patent number: 4768571
Abstract: A safety stop for woodworking machines, particularly milling machines, having a first stop plate and a second stop plate (10, 12) which are arranged in a common plane on both sides of the tool (14) and leave between them a slot (16) for the passage of the tool (14), and having stop bars (32) which extend parallel to each other and span the slot (16); in order to provide a work unit which is formed of parts which cannot be lost and which is adapted to be placed in readiness for operation without tools, the stop bars (32) are so integrated in the first stop plate (10) that they can be introduced from grooves (30) incorporated in said stop plate into grooves (30) in the second stop plate (12).

  • Patent number: 4232550
Abstract: A flowmeter for liquids includes a hollow housing having an internal metering chamber, at least two liquid connections coupled to the housing and communicating with the metering chamber for establishing a liquid flow therethrough, a generally disc-shaped wobble plate having a centrally-disposed spherical wobble center mounted within the metering chamber and non-contacting coacting signal transmitter elements associated with the housing and wobbler plate for generating signals which proportionally correspond to the wobble frequency of the wobble plate. The flowmeter is especially suited for measuring small or weak liquid flows.

  • Patent number: 4172381
Abstract: An improved flowmeter for liquids is provided of the type which includes a housing, a cylindrical chamber formed in the housing, a shaft rotatably mounted in the housing and extending coaxially through the chamber, an impeller mounted on the shaft and an inlet and outlet channel provided in the housing and communicating with the chamber. The impeller is provided with a coaxially disposed circular disc having a plurality of radiation-permeable passageways formed therethrough spaced about the periphery thereof. A radiation source is disposed on the side of the disc and a radiation sensor on the other side of the disc in axial alignment with the passageways thereof. The flowmeter is especially useful for accurately determining relatively low flow rates.

  • Patent number: 4080584
Abstract: A spring retaining clip for mounting a contact carrying insulator on the return pole piece of an electromagnetic relay. The spring retaining clip is generally U-shaped and has a resilient back wall member adapted to be disposed between the return pole piece of the relay and the excitation coil thereof. The spring retaining clip also includes a pair of side wall members which straddle a central portion of the return pole piece and which interlock with a corresponding pair of side wall members of the contact carrying insulator. In a free state condition, the back wall member is curved similarly to the curved outer surface of the excitation coil, but must be straightened somewhat and forced into engagement with the central portion of the return pole piece before the side wall members of the spring retaining clip and the insulator can become interlocked in assembled relation with one another.
