Abstract: Presented and described is a granulate for producing a coating agent, in particular a dispersion paint, wherein the granulate contains, in each case based on the total weight of the granulate, a) 2 to 60 wt. % binder, b) 5 to 85 wt. % pigment and/or filler and c) 1 to 15 wt. % additives. By adding water, it is possible to produce a coating agent, in particular a dispersion paint, using the granulate. The addition of water to the granulate and the production of coating agent, in particular the dispersion paint, preferably take place directly in the container in which the granulate is stored.
