  • Patent number: 4706627
Abstract: A speed governor for injection pumps in internal combustion engines with a regulating sleeve which at maximum rotational speed of the internal combustion engine is displaced as a function of speed within the regulating sleeve travel against the force of the main regulating spring that acts on a force transmitting lever. The regulating movements of the force-transmitting lever are transmitted onto the fuel delivery adjusting member of the injection pump by means of at least one intermediate lever. The internal combustion engine rotational speed can be influenced by means of an operating element adapted to be controlled. In case of a needed change of the beginning of the full-load speed regulation of the internal combustion engine, the spring travel of the main regulating spring is influenced by means of a force-transmitting element.

  • Patent number: 4534457
Abstract: In a multi-disc clutch or brake, several lamellae in the form of annular discs cannot only be fixed essentially non-rotatably, relative to a lamella carrier fixed in terms of rotation in relation to one of the two clutch or brake parts, by means of a releasable positive connection but can also each be supported radially exclusively at an individual point on the lamella carrier, each by means of its own resilient clamping means, the clamping means being retained on the lamella carrier. At least one central annular gap located, in the peripheral direction of the axis of rotation, between two engaging teeth of the positive connection and open in the two directions of the axis of rotation is limited radially in one directions by a cylindrical shell portion of a lamella and in the other direction by a cylindrical shell portion of the lamella carrier. The engagement surface of the clamping means, used for the purpose of support, is located in the annular gap and interacts with the shell portion of the lamella.

  • Patent number: 4417484
Abstract: A change-speed transmission for motor vehicles, with the transmission including a planetary gear transmission arrangement having a pair of sun gears, a pair of ring gears, and a double webbed planetary gear carrier supporting at least one primary planetary gear and at least one secondary planetary gear. The primary planetary gear meshes with one of the sun gears and the secondary planetary gear meshes with the primary planetary gear and the other of the sun gears. One sun gear, acting as a free transmisson member and one ring gear are respectively adapted to be brought into an operative connection by a gear shift brake arrangement. The other sun gear as well as a further transmission member may be placed in a driving connection with the input shaft of the transmission.

  • Patent number: 4396100
Abstract: A friction lining for a multiple disk clutch or a multiple disk brake, with grooves extending in a direction from a radially inner lining edge to a radially outer lining edge. Individual ones of these grooves exhibit pronounced rectangular or orthogonal transistion areas between the groove and a surface of the friction lining with the remaining grooves exhibiting non-rectangular transistion areas of the groove edges to the friction surface of the friction lining. A plurality of grooves provided non-rectangular transistional areas extend linearly and are not connected to the grooves having the rectangular transistional areas. At least one groove having a rectangular transistional area and being open at least toward the outer lining edge is disposed between two circumferentially adjacent or neighboring grooves having a non-rectangular transistional area.

  • Patent number: 3942393
Abstract: A control system for regulating or controlling the actuating force of shifting elements which in automatically shifted change-speed transmissions act on friction elements that selectively brake, hold fast and release a structural element of such a change-speed transmission as a function of operating parameters; one of the operating parameters which is thereby used in the system of this invention is the predetermined change of the engine rotational speed as a function of time (dn/dt).
