  • Publication number: 20070075564
Abstract: A tailgate of a motor vehicle has a vibration absorber configured as a spring-mass system. In order to reduce a vibrating of the tailgate in the driving mode, it is provided that the vibration absorber is fastened as a separate component to the tailgate. The advantages mainly obtained are that of enabling the separate absorber mass to be coordinated with the tailgate in a simple manner.

  • Patent number: 6382708
Abstract: Arrangement for controlling the movement of a rearward-side air guiding system on motor vehicles, the rearward-side air guiding system having a rear spoiler provided on a rearward-side hood and a rear wing connected therewith, and the rear wing being movable by means of the arrangement from a retracted inoperative position into an extended operative position and vice versa. The arrangement for controlling the movement of the rear wing includes at least two telescopic tilt-out devices and one connection respectively between a driving device and the telescopic tilt-out device. The driving device contains a motor and at least one hydraulic cylinder, so that, when the motor (17) is triggered, a pressure is built up in the at least one hydraulic cylinder (18,18′) which can be transmitted to the telescopic tilt-out devices (16,16′) and has the effect that the rear wing (12) is moved against a spring force into its operative position.

  • Patent number: 6170904
Abstract: A motor vehicle is provided with a rear-mounted air guide device having a rear spoiler provided on a hood at the rear and a connected rear airfoil. The rear airfoil is used only when needed to produce the necessary downforce so that no damage occurs to the air guide device when passing through an automatic car wash. For that purpose, the rear airfoil is movable by a drive device from a retracted resting position into an extended operating position and vice versa. The rear airfoil in the resting position is largely lowered into a groove-shaped receptacle provided on the top of the rear spoiler.
